The position of Head Lifeguard and Assistant Pool Director is a Open Until Filled so that we can find the ideal candidates for our amazing team. There are 1-3 openings for this position.

As a Part-Time Temporary worker in the position of Head Lifeguard and Assistant Pool Director, you will ensure the safety and well-being of each patron using the UCC pool facilities by preventing and responding to emergencies. The Lifeguard will work directly with participants providing courteous, friendly and professional assistance. As an instructor, you are in charge of classes of varying size, from private lessons to group instruction.  This position provides continuous service to the public, especially the parents of children receiving lessons, which requires courtesy, patience, and diplomacy. Decisions are made daily on a variety of issues dealing with participants in the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Qualifications:

• Must be at least 15 years old.  

• Must be able to work from start to finish of UCC Summer Swim Program

• Must possess current American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certification, American Red Cross Lifeguarding certification and First Aid/CPR/AED certification or ability to achieve certification by start date.

Preferred (Not Required) Qualifications:

• Some Teaching Experience
• Lifeguarding experience
• Swimming background

Other:

• Must be willing to work a flexible part-time schedule, which may include morning, afternoon and/or evening open swim times.

• Hourly rate of pay will vary due to experience. 
• Strongly recommended that you will be able to work all 5 swim sessions
