Job Description

Responds to incoming calls to the Police Department, routing and logging calls as appropriate, gathering and managing incident-related data and arranging for dispatch of officers to scene of complaint.
Understands how tasks/activities relate to others on the team and how the team integrates with other related, similar teams
Organizes and completes structured assignments (e.g., emergency and non-emergency complaints) according to priorities
Gathers and relays information according to standard processes and procedures
Maintains lists and logs, preparing records and reports as requested
Provides solutions to problems in situations that may be atypical or infrequently occurring
Evaluates and selects solutions from established options/procedures
Impacts own team through the quality of the services or information provided
Utilizes working knowledge and learned skills to perform various activities for the job
Possesses basic knowledge of specific processes and procedures needed to perform assignments within own work area
Communicates through the regular exchange of information, ranging from routine to complex; ensures objectivity and sensitivity in communications are applied.
Shift

40 hours, rotating shifts
Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired is necessary
Anticipated Hiring Range

Pay commensurate with education and experience.
Hiring Range: $15.00 - $19.92 per hour
Grade: GGS-006
