CAD Detailer

Description

The Engineering CAD Drafter provides support to engineers by preparing detail drawings, assembly drawings, routine layouts, analysis of assembly to confirm proper fit and function along with the creation for a project bill of materials. They will report to the Engineering CAD Manager.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Applies prescribed standard techniques and procedures in accordance with established criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment
• Performs routine technical work and exercises limited judgment on details of work
• Acquires an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities
• Records a written summary of data for all project responsibilities
• Prepares drawings and visual aids
• Create and maintains filing systems as assigned
• Prepares document deliverables
• Collaborate with Engineer in verifying total design meets customer need
• Performs other related duties as assigned

• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations
• Proficient in ACAD, Microsoft Office Suite or related software
• Ability to work independently or in groups and is self-motivated
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

• Associate’s degree in Computer Aided Sciences is recommended
• Two years of experience in a drafting/design role is required

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
• May require job site travel and walking for long periods of time
