The position’s primary duties include teaching and developing with a team of faculty the Common First Year (CFY) introductory engineering courses. The successful applicant will be an integral part of the CFY faculty team. Through collaboration, the team fosters a supportive and effective learning environment for students. Candidates must have the communication skills, energy, and passion for teaching fundamental concepts to first-year College of Engineering students. Applicants will demonstrate a commitment to excellence in higher education to students from all backgrounds and a dedication to the success of beginning College of Engineering students.In addition, candidates actively contribute to the department’s undergraduate teaching mission, provide career exploration, and support OSDS Academic Success programs and activities. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to engaging in accreditation procedures, program assessment, and service to the department, College, and University as needed.
