What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parking Lot Striper position at Under Pressure, LLC?
We are currently seeking someone to be a part of our parking lot striping team for our local company in Lafayette. Shifts include some days but mostly night work and many weekends during peak seasons. This opening is for a dependable, hard-working person that is honest, and team oriented. They will take pride in the quality of work they produce and have a strong desire to learn.
Candidates MUST be punctual, flexible, take well to direction, buy into company culture, have strong safety awareness and pay close attention to detail. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY if you do not have a valid driver's license.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must be able to pass a drug screen
- Must have working phone and be available by phone during workday or night
- Must have reliable transportation to get to and from work
- Typical physical demands of this job include sitting, standing, walking, and lifting minimum of 50 lbs
- Working outdoors with variable temperature and weather conditions
- Must be available to work nights and some weekends.
- Must attend monthly meetings and one-to-one quarterly meetings.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
- Safely drive a truck and pull a trailer.
- Should have a basic understanding of equipment, i.e., use commercial striping machines to paint lines while re-striping lots or laying new layouts. Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance.
- Machinery must be kept in a clean and proper working order.
- Identify where to place safety cones on area prior to beginning work.
- Learn how to properly paint lines and stencils on a parking lot.
- Be completely aware of surroundings, i.e. identify where other people are working at all times, flow of work, etc.
- Ensure that all equipment is accounted for at the end of each project.
- Properly secure all equipment and tools in trailer.
- Any other duties assigned by management.
