Job Title: IT Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Specialist to join our team. The IT Specialist will be responsible for maintaining our company's IT network, servers, and security systems. The role involves managing, troubleshooting, and enhancing all IT-related aspects to ensure the smooth operation of all technological functions within the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Network Management:

Ensure the integrity and availability of network infrastructure by managing network performance, troubleshooting network problems, and ensuring network security.

System Maintenance:

Regularly maintain and upgrade systems, servers, and hardware to ensure optimal performance. Install and configure new software and hardware.

Technical Support:

Provide technical support to staff and clients, both remotely and on-site, addressing and resolving IT-related issues promptly.

Security Management:

- Implement and monitor security protocols to protect the organization’s data and systems. Manage firewall, antivirus, and data protection software.

Data Management:

Oversee the backup and recovery of company data, ensuring data integrity and availability.

Compliance:

Ensure compliance with relevant IT laws and regulations, keeping abreast of updates and implementing necessary changes.

Documentation:

Maintain detailed documentation of IT infrastructure, system configurations, and processes.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 - 5 years of experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.

Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in network and server management.

- Strong knowledge of various operating systems (Windows, Linux, MacOS).

- Experience with virtualization and cloud services (e.g., VMware, AWS, Azure).

- Familiarity with database management and data security. - Proficient in scripting and automation tools.

Soft Skills:

Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a proactive approach to IT management.

Certifications:

Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , Security , Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) are highly desirable.

Location:

On-site with potential for remote support.

Hours: Full-time position with potential for on-call support outside of regular business hours.
