What are the responsibilities and job description for the Freight Forwarding - Air Import/Export Operations Agent position at Uniglobe, Inc?
We are seeking to hire someone full-time who has previous experience in freight forwarding and logistics. Applicants should be reliable, diligent, team-oriented, and good with customer support. Applicants should also have a working knowledge of phones and computers. We strongly prefer applicants who are able to communicate in Mandarin Chinese as we work with many overseas clients. Pay varies depending on experience and applicable skills.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and respond to emails in a timely manner
- Accurately execute and oversee the freight logistics process, including booking, arranging, and tracking shipments
- Provide customer support to direct clients and agents
- Issue invoices and prepare the necessary documentation for freight logistics
- Other duties will be assigned as needed
Experience
- A minimum of 1-2 years experience with freight forwarding operations
Qualifications & Skills:
- Solid organizational and analytical skills with attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Drive to learn new skills and develop professionally
- Ability to multi-task successfully and adapt to changes quickly
- Proficiency in Microsoft office
- Language competency in Mandarin Chinese is a plus
