What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP Sales Manager - Residential Lending position at Union Savings Bank - CT?
Sales & Loan Production
- Collaborate with EVP/CLO to develop yearly and quarterly goals.
- Collaborate with originators on quarterly and annual goals.
- Lead and direct all Residential Lending Department sales coaching efforts to maximize results. Ensure that effective implementation of Bank objectives are met.
- Coach originators on ways to improve sales and service levels. Oversee activity reporting system.
- Create and implement sales campaigns with collaboration from Marketing and the EVP/CLO.
- Build and develop high morale and empowerment of sales success by utilizing reward and recognition.
- Create and develop the agenda for sales meeting which includes sales & service strategies, guidance and expectations.
- Recommend new products and services to the EVP/CLO. Assist with implementation.
- Collaborate with interdepartmental Sales Managers in order to drive increased sales.
- Identify sales weaknesses and work with originators to address opportunities.
- Maintain own pipeline of loans and sourcing of new loans through personal referral network.
- Assist the EVP/CLO in the preparation of monthly commissions for the origination team.
- Conduct and lead monthly sales meetings with the origination staff.
- Act as the "point person" to co-ordinate individual and joint calling efforts with prospects, COI's and existing clients. make joint calls with originators as appropriate.
Strategic Planning
- With guidance from the EVP/CLO and working jointly with the Residential Lending Operations Manager, prepare development of annual business plan and budget.
- Collaborate with Marketing Department/Innovation Center, EVP/CLO and Residential Lending Operations Manager on products, services, and initiatives which will have a positive impact on mortgage sales.
Customer Service
- Act as a resource to resolve customer service issues.
- Reward and recognize Above & Beyond Service behaviors in origination team.
- Provide feedback to originators on opportunities to increase Above & Beyond Service levels.
Human Resources & Community Activity
- Team Development: motivate personnel and promote workplace enthusiasm; provide opportunities for professional growth through education/training; provide the tools/skills (cross train) necessary for employee growth at USB.
- Perform the following HR processes: performance/incentive/introductory period reviews for all direct reports, career development, training, disciplinary/corrective actions.
- Represent the Bank in the community by serving on local boards, committees etc.
Other Responsibilities
- Act as an active member of an assigned Solutions Team
- Work closely with other departments of the Bank; together with the Residential Lending Operations Manager be the department's liason to the rest of the Bank.
- Act as the Residential Lending department's representative on the Sales Committee and Loan Review Committee.
