PURPOSE: Information Technology Assistant is responsible for managing the Bank’s computer system, technology, and information resources, End of Day Processing and deposits vs. compliance issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and support activity for the Bank's internal and external automated information processing systems and services, including all software, hardware, and related equipment.
- Assist in acquiring equipment, software systems, and computer supplies to support the Bank's business activities.
- Assist in operational issues for in-house end users, reviews existing software for upgrades, and improves instructions and equipment as needed.
- Provides general and technical back-up support to customers and employees for electronic banking operations for Internet Banking.
- Maintains software, hardware and other equipment through routine preventive maintenance, and corrects minor operational problems.
- Maintains routine backup procedures and tape libraries, documents and makes corrections for system failure, reporting reasons, and corrective actions taken.
· The incumbent has the responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking Regulations and Policies and those Regulations and Policies inherent to position requirements.
- Develops, administers and monitors programs that ensure the financial institution's compliance with laws, regulations and rules governing deposit operations and product offerings.
- Monitors and maintains USB’s Website.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
· Educational background of a Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or related field.
· Experience in management information and technology.
· Strong analytical and financial skills.
· Ability to interact within all levels of the Bank.
COMPLIANCE
The incumbent has the responsibility to acquire and maintain the required knowledge of State and Federal Banking regulations and policies and those regulations and policies inherent to position requirements.
