Production Mechanic

We are seeking a Production Line Mechanic to join our team! You will maintain and repair form-fill-seal production lines that make single use liquid filled packages.

Responsibilities:

• Attend scheduled meetings and assist with the startup of assigned machines.
• Troubleshoot production line issues to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime and defects. This includes ensuring print quality, seam positioning, weld integrity, fill volume accuracy, and proper packaging.
• Perform changeovers on production lines to accommodate new order specifications, including package size, printing, and liquid fill equipment adjustments.
• Disassemble, reassemble, clean, and prepare factory equipment according to maintenance schedules and preventative maintenance plans.
• Conduct quality checks on production output to ensure compliance with FDA regulations and internal quality standards.
• Complete forms required by Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Checklists, and Troubleshooting Logs accurately and in a timely manner.
• Preventative Maintenance on all equipment
• Inventory monitoring
• Installation of new parts as distributed by management and label and return removed parts.
• Assemble, disassemble, and clean pumps and maintain an organized storage area.

​Qualifications:

• Relevant experience in manufacturing is preferred, but recent graduates of technical college or higher institutions with degrees in engineering or mechanical engineering are encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
• Knowledge of the 5-S system and experience with LEAN manufacturing principles would be valuable.
• Strong understanding of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and ability to follow Quality Management System protocols.
• Dependability, punctuality, and a team-focused attitude are essential.
• English fluency is required. Bi-lingual English and Spanish is helpful.
