This is a Culinary Health Center Job.
The Health Center Ambassador will be the first point of contact as well as the positive face for all patients and families by providing a 5-star customer service experience guided by the Health Center’s mission, vision, and values. This position uses 5-star customer service techniques to meet and greet patients, identify, and clarifies patients’ needs and desires. The Health Center Ambassador will be responsible for conducting scheduled/un-scheduled tours and providing language assistance to provider partners when requested.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES
- Supports health center operations by greeting, and giving direction to patients in the health center lobby
- Conducts health center tours as requested
- Assists with patient portal sign-up and navigation
- Provides quality service by answering patients’ direct questions, and coordinating with the appropriate resources and/or departments as needed
- Confirm patient’s eligibility, and answers eligibility related questions
- Assists with patient with check-in
- Assists with health center medical records
- Assists with the Health Center Wellness classes as needed
- Reviews appointment date, time, location, and provider name with patient
- Assists with all non-clinical inquiries and directs patients to all relevant locations within the health center or to an outside source where applicable
- Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with all team members
- Provides benefit plan and eligibility information to patients, providers, unions, and employers
- Assists in escalating urgent, sensitive, or unresolved patient issues, concerns and/or inquiries as designated in Provider Partner and Health Center protocols
- Assist with assigned special projects designated by Manager of the Health Center or Health Center Ambassador Lead
- Comply with Guest Experience department’s quality assurance program
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 1 ~ 2 years of related experience minimum
- Working knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment preferred
- Understands medical and insurance terminology
- Knowledge of patient rights and age specific patient care practices
- Associate's degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred
Salary range for this position: Salary $18.46 - $22.62 hourly. Actual hourly rate may vary based upon, but not limited to: relevant experience, qualifications, expertise, certifications, licenses, education or equivalent work experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.
Work Schedule (may vary to meet business needs): Monday~Friday, 7.5 hours per day (37.5 hours per week) and is a fully onsite position in our Nellis Culinary Health Center location.
