Manufacturing Technician (Autoclave/Oven)

Work Schedule: 5:00AM-3:30PM, Mon-Thurs                                      Location: Hayden, ID

POSITION SUMMARY:

Operates the autoclave and oven systems for curing aerospace composite materials.  Candidates must be familiar with pressure and temperature plotting and tracking.  Applicants must be capable of critical thinking and making technical decisions.  Primary duty is the monitoring of curing runs to ensure temperature and pressure parameters are met and validate quality of machine operation.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Review resident manufacturing plan for proper instructions and specifications
• Ensure all necessary parts and materials are present
• Inspect each step in the process for quality and presence of Foreign Object Debris (FOD)
• Visually inspect finished parts for quality
• Clean part per specifications
• Place part on outgoing production shelves
• Participate in continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
• Assist with standard operating procedures for all production operations
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Replace all tools and materials when job(s) are complete
• Properly dispose of any/all hazardous materials
• Ensure all health and safety guidelines are followed
• Utilize all mandatory personal protective equipment (PPE)

• Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Education: High School graduation or equivalent 
• Experience:  Prefer manufacturing experience with composites or aerospace industries.
• Computer Skills: Prefer Microsoft Office
• Other Requirements: May be required to wear a respirator

THIS POSITION MAY REQUIRE THE USE OF A RESPIRATOR

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, dust, fumes or airborne particles. 

Will be required to wear protective gear and follow proper safety precautions. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate but can be loud at times.
