UCFS is looking for candidates who are passionate about making a difference in the lives of others!
We are currently seeking a full-time (35 hour) Program Aide and Van Driver who under the direction and leadership of the Activity Director, provides transportation services for the adult day center and assists with program activities and outings. Provides personal care to clients as needed. Bi-lingual Spanish required.
Requirements
Essential Responsibilities:
- Participates in program activities at the center, such as exercise, activity set up and clean up, instructing clients in arts and crafts and other special projects; leads group and individual games. Encourages client participation and ensures safety.
- Provides van transportation for adult day center clients in accordance with policy and procedures established for the operation of center vehicles.
- Assists with personal care needs of clients such as transfer, toileting, clothing changes, and showering. Observes and reports any physical or behavioral changes to RN Supervisor.
- Provides nutritional support as required by certification by: escorting, monitoring and feeding clients at mealtime and providing snacks as it pertains to individual client’s diets. Provides clean up afterwards as required.
- Demonstrates quality customer service by respecting client’s rights, respectful communication, demonstrating an understanding of the physical, emotional and developmental needs of the client and proper ways to work with the population served.
- Demonstrates adherence to universal precautions, OSHA standards and infection control policies and procedures at all times
- Participates in required in-services, staff meetings and conferences as required or assigned.
- Treats co-workers, clients and visitors respectfully, courteously and professionally, addressing conflict and disagreement in a positive and respectful manner.
Requirements:
- Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Aide (HHA/CNA) certification plus up to one year experience, or equivalent
- Eligible for Public Service License required
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
- A valid driver’s license and state mandated levels of auto liability insurance required
- HHA/CNA certificate preferred
- Must have Public Service License to operate van
