About the Role:
As a Therapist, your main goal is to provide professional counseling services to individuals, families, and groups. You will work closely with clients to help them overcome personal challenges, improve their mental health, and enhance their overall well-being. Your expertise in counseling psychology, group therapy, mental health counseling, family therapy, psychotherapy, crisis intervention, anger management, life transitions, and behavioral health will be crucial in helping clients navigate through difficult situations and develop effective coping strategies. By providing a safe and supportive environment, you will empower clients to explore their emotions, gain insight into their thoughts and behaviors, and make positive changes in their lives.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Therapist.
- Proven experience in providing counseling services to diverse populations.
- Strong knowledge of therapeutic theories, techniques, and interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and build trust with clients.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field.
- Experience in working with specific populations, such as children, adolescents, couples, or veterans.
- Specialized training or certification in a specific therapeutic approach, such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and another language.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct individuals, family, and group therapy sessions to address clients' mental health concerns and promote personal growth.
- Assess clients' needs, develop treatment plans, and monitor progress towards therapeutic goals.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques and interventions to facilitate positive change and improve clients' overall well-being.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists, social workers, and case managers, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for clients.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
