Job Summary:
The Receiving Clerk is to receive all incoming product and deliveries into the plant. The Receiving Clerk is responsible for and owns reconciling manifest/packing slip quantities to actual received quantities compared to quantities on purchase orders. Additionally, the Receiving Clerk will ensure all receiving paperwork flows to finance to be reconciled against invoices properly. Assigned duties include but are not limited to the following:
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Direct inbound shipments to receiving area
- Perform physical count of parts received and verify product is free from damage
- Compare manifest/packing slip counts to actual count of parts received
- Perform initial quality check of incoming parts
- Notate and initial paperwork after deliveries have been confirmed
- Alert Purchasing department to all receiving issues and discrepancies
- Record receipts into internal inventory system as required
- Transmit all inbound receipts to Accounts Payable daily
- Coordinate deliveries with appropriate departments to ensure receiving area stays clear to receive parts at all times
- Assist in quarterly inventory counts and regular cycle counts as required
- Keep and update daily receiving log
- Coordinate with Customer Service Specialist to disposition incoming RGA’s
- Collaborate with Purchasing and Accounts Payable to streamline efficiency and accuracy of incoming receipts
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, plant management, finance department and delivery drivers
- Excellent attention to detail
- General knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures
- Proficient computer skills including learning and utilizing new software
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to develop professional relationships with coworkers
- Ability to perform basic math calculations
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Forklift operator certification preferred
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and walking.
- Must be able to navigate warehouse and reach items both high and low.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds or more
- Must be punctual and highly dependable

- 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
