What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Improvement Coordinator / HEDIS Coordinator position at United Outstanding Physicians (UOP)?
The Quality Improvement Coordinator will coordinate the development, implementation, and evaluation of the assigned practices overall quality improvement (QI) program that includes disseminating and explaining missed services reports, identify trends, prioritize and recommend improvements, decrease duplication, and ensure health plan compliance. The Quality Improvement Coordinator will also be responsible for ensuring all required reporting is completed by the practice.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Organizes, compiles, and reports QI data for both to identify trends, establish priorities, and recommend improvement activities.
- Disseminate numerous reports to practices in a timely manner.
- Coordinates the development, implementation and revision of the medical staff's QI program to meet the needs of patients, staff, and external agencies.
- Provides services to physician and medical staff in effectively achieving regulatory accreditation and organizational compliance for QI activities.
- Training on all health plan portals

- Ability to work independently and organize time effectively.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare related field preferred
Qualifications
- Self-directed, self-motivated, takes job ownership, flexible and adaptable to changes.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
