What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Account Specialist position at United Performance Metals?
SUMMARY
The Account / Inside Sales Specialist is responsible for the creation of new sales opportunities and maximizing profit from existing business. This will be accomplished through process refinement and execution and individualized account analysis / planning. This position is responsible for communications with and building relationships with UPM's customers. This may require light travel to customer facilities. The position requires a strong internal relationship with various functional areas of the company.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Support and execute the quoting and order entry process
• The planning and execution of personal sales visits to prospective and existing customers in specific geographies and / or market segments.
• Detailed account analysis to develop action / development plans for specified accounts.
• Backlog maintenance, OP tracking, expediting orders, and final customer checklist sign-off
• The collection and dissemination of relevant sales intelligence from all sales activities. This includes entry of relevant information into ERP system and communication to relevant parties / individuals in the company.
• Outside process vendor development including visits and adding new vendors to the program.
