United Poly Systems produces pipe products with diameters from ¾ inch to 26-inch IPS and 4 inch to 24 inch DIPS for use in industrial applications. HDPE pipe is used by a variety of markets including telecommunications, power utility, electrical, water, gas distribution and oil and gas. The market for HDPE pipe continues to expand as initiatives to improve and expand infrastructure are implemented.
Must be able to work 12 hour shifts from 11am-11pm and available to work every other weekend. This position does require you to be on call at times as well.

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing the routine maintenance of equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and safe production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches; to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
- Follows routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, or the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
- Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary.
- Assemble, install, or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, or equipment.
- Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, or perform other maintenance actions, following checklists.
- Oversees the cleaning or lubricating of shafts, bearings, gears, or other parts of machinery.
- Manages the adjustment of functional parts of devices or control instruments, using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, or straight edges.
- Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment.
- Record type and cost of maintenance or repair work and reports to immediate supervisor for accounting purposes.
- Ability to troubleshoot all equipment for mechanical or electrical problems including electrical panels, motors, and drives.
- Supports and cultivates vendor relationships.
- Helps order and manage all maintenance-related items and inventory.
- Follows all safety requirements for this position and all company safety guidelines.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (includes education, skills and experience):

- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- At least 2 years manufacturing experience working with AC/DC drives and PLC.
- Ability to drive a forklift.
- Proficient use of welding equipment.
- Knowledge of and ability to use an electronic meter.
- Thorough knowledge of safety principles and federal/local regulations to include knowledge of OSHA regulations applicable to the manufacturing industry
- Must display very good organization and time management skills
- Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities
- Must have sounds judgment and discretional skills and be able to work with little supervision
- Must be able to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand English
- Must have a clean driving record and a valid, current driver’s license and vehicle insurance
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Electrical and welding certifications.

Week 1 Sunday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday.
- on call rotation with other maintenance techs in addition to the rotating schedule.
