Job Description:

United Services is seeking a Team Manager for the Crisis Response Services Division of a large community mental health center working with adults with serious mental health issues who may also have substance use disorders and/or co-morbid medical conditions.

The Team Manager works in partnership with the Program Director to oversee operations of the Adult Crisis Response Team. Responsibilities within this interdisciplinary team include meeting and engaging with individuals, triaging incoming referrals, implementing and supporting safety protocols for crisis staff, and providing supervision to crisis staff related to clinical interventions, caseloads and care coordination while also maintaining an assigned caseload as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clinical coordination of target SPMI population with hospitals and other external agencies involved in client care.
  • Attend treatment planning and other meetings with other agencies surrounding client care and provide LMHA representation when needed.
  • Submit state hospital bed referrals and other referrals as needed to facilitate client access to and from the highest levels of care.
  • Provide responsive follow up to referral sources, develop and maintain effective relationships with external agencies and other sources to facilitate client care; as well as internal programs and colleagues.
  • Provide direct clinical supervision of crisis staff.
  • Assure quality service in accordance with program standards and internal/external regulations.
  • Provide input to center policy development and assure the operation of the program is within relevant center and program guidelines including collective bargaining agreements.
  • Assist with establishing and ensuring appropriate staff schedules and program services coverage.
  • Participate in the planning and implementation of program services and activities

Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8:30 A.M. - 5 P.M.

Qualifications:

  • (Connecticut) LCSW, LPC or LMFT required.
  • Minimum of five years in Clinical Services preferred.
  • Three years relevant experience in the area of care coordination, clinical supervision, or a combination.
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of community resources and behavioral health systems.

Salary Range:

$72,000 - $77,000 yearly (depending on experience)
