Position Purpose
As a key member of the USL Media team, the Media Manager will be at the forefront of success for Gainbridge Super League television productions and USL Productions as a whole by communicating with and managing the day-to-day details involved in implementing and maintaining the USL game broadcast infrastructure. The right candidate will have a keen eye for detail on television, be able to communicate feedback internally and to clubs, and have a strong understanding of storytelling and star-building.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Manage day-to-day broadcast communications with Gainbridge Super League teams and USL’s production partner throughout the season.
- Coordinate and track sales and league elements for broadcasts.
- Assist the Media team and USL executives in maintaining positive relationships with USL’s media partners.
- Collaborate cross-departmentally to ideate broadcast television enhancements to tell the story of Gainbridge Super League players and clubs.
- Work nights and weekends as scheduled to provide live support of USL matches.
- Assess areas of improvement and strengths within USL broadcasts.
- Record and report weekly timing of all game broadcasts.
- Write copy for all on-air reads.
- Other duties/responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Media, Broadcasting, Communications, or related field and/or equivalent professional work experience.
- 3 years of experience working within media with an emphasis on television production.
- Interest in/understanding of soccer; experience in sports/soccer a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with team members, executives, member clubs, and external partners.
- Ability to work independently in a multi-faceted, fast, fluid, and deadline-driven environment.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic a must.
- Ability to work as business needs require which may include long days, evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel if / when necessary.
- Must have U.S. work authorization.
Work Environment

Currently, USL HQ operates on a hybrid work model. From Monday to Thursday, team members gather in person to harness the power of face-to-face collaboration. On Fridays, we transition to a remote work setup, providing our team with the flexibility to manage their tasks in an environment of their choosing.
Typical USL HQ hours are Monday – Friday 8:30am – 5:30pm ET. Evenings, weekends, occasional holidays, and travel may be necessary based on business demands.
