What are the responsibilities and job description for the Managed Care Coordinator position at United States Medical Supply?

Sign on bonus of $2,500 (new candidates only) Expires 9/30/21.

Responsible for the accurate Durable Medical Equipment credentialing with various Managed Care and Medicaid State plans.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsible for identifying, developing and establishing strategic relationships with the assigned managed care payors.

Identify opportunities to enter closed networks and negotiate existing contracts by selling the US MED value and scheduling meetings for our VP of Managed Care to present to targeted managed care payors.

Maintain a thorough knowledge of reimbursement methodologies, contractual terms, billing and other operational factors needed for contracting and contract implementation.

Verify enrollment status for all Managed Care plans including contracted Medicaid states to ensure proper and timely billing.

Communicates with providers and/or others in the organization to obtain necessary documentation for application/contract submissions.

Negotiate reimbursement rates in order to increase the percentage being offered for all lines of business.

Conduct active outreach to plans to follow up on applications/contracts submitted, verify our information in New Business Database and to ensure we have an active provider number.

All other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Knowledge and experience in Managed Care enrollment processes with an emphasis on Medicaid requirements.

· Demonstrated ability to multi-task and follow through to meet established deadlines with stringent guidelines.

· Ability to function in a high volume, fast-paced environment

· Detail-oriented, with strong data entry skills.

· Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Work and Access applications

· Effective, professional communication skills, both written & verbal.

· Demonstrated professional phone etiquette.

· Solution-oriented approach and effective problem solving skills

· Professional work ethic.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

· High school diploma or GED required

· Proven track record for closing new contracts and driving business growth

· Articulate with excellent presentation & sales skills

· Extremely well organized with attention to detail

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 per hour
