Business Valuation Manager

We are seeking a Business Valuation Manager to join our growing Business Valuation and Litigation Support Team. We currently work on between 50 and 100 business valuation engagements per year.

Responsibilities will include:

1. Preparation and review of valuations for closely held businesses – primarily for the purposes of marital dissolution, shareholder disputes, and estate/gift taxation;
2. Prepare and review litigation support calculations, including the calculation of lost profits and personal economic losses;
3. Reviewing pension valuation calculations (primarily for divorce purposes);
4. Build and update financial models and approaches to valuation;
5. Testify as to the conclusion and/or calculations in matters to go to trial or for the purpose of deposition; and
6. Train and mentor department staff.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 7 years of experience preparing business valuation reports within a CPA or consulting firm;
2. Hold a valid CPA license;
3. Hold at least one business valuation credential (CVA is preferred);
4. Advanced financial modeling, accounting, research, and analytical skills;
5. Experience testifying is preferred, but not required;
6. Manage a referral network of attorneys and other professionals that refer work to you;
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and
