The Price Checker is primarily responsible for the accuracy of price checking a variety of items at retail locations throughout the established trade area. He/She will be assigned an area of retail outlets with the responsibility of accurately reporting market pricing.
Responsible for checking prices at various locations throughout the established trade area
Responsible for reporting competitors prices, via email, accurately and in a timely manner and meeting deadlines
Maintain familiarity with pricing strategies of competitors in conjunction with weekly Ad checks
Performs other duties as requested or required by management
Key Responsibilities:
Minimum two years Grocery store experience
Must have a broad understanding of products, UPC’s and supermarket language
Minimum of beginners Microsoft Excel skill level
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to perform 10-key and computer operations
Must have access to a computer
Must be self-motivated
Must provide own transportation
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and punctuality
Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
Ability to work in efficient and controlled manner, even under pressure
Perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, and walking
Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
