Job Summary: As the RN OR Charge Nurse/Board Runner, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the OR, ensuring the highest quality patient care, promoting team efficiency, and fostering a positive environment. You will act as a clinical resource for staff, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices and regulatory standards. Overseeing and facilitating staff by policies, procedures, industry standards of practice, JCAHO standards, and the direction of the Surgical Services management team. This individual assists in coordinating scrub and circulator roles and provides support to staff as needed. Overseeing the flow of the daily surgery schedule, problem-solving during the daily operation of the department, and managing projects as assigned by the management team of the department.

Required Skills:
Qualifications:
Graduate of accredited school of professional nursing, BSN preferred
Current Texas RN License
BLS, ACLS required
Five (5) years of experience in surgery
Two (2) years of experience as a service coordinator or charge position.
Current Texas RN License
Independent decision-making skills.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects.
USPI complies with federal, state, and/or local laws regarding mandatory vaccination of its workforce. If you are offered this position and must be vaccinated under any applicable law, you will be required to show proof of full vaccination or obtain an approval of a religious or medical exemption prior to your start date.
