Community Impact Staff Specialist Position

To support this work, we are looking for a full-time team member who will demonstrate a passion for the overall mission of United Way. This team member will play a role in supporting the organization’s program investments and early grade reading proficiency initiatives.

Do you want to learn more? These are the key responsibilities assigned to the role:
Represent Ready.Set.READ! in the community and work with the team to deliver the Read Alliance program
- Support collaboration with partners to recruit, enroll and retain teen leaders and early elementary students
- Support planning and facilitation of program events
- Support program data, assessments and communications
- Frequent local travel to school sites to distribute materials and provide ongoing support
Work collaboratively as part of the Community Impact team and support United Way’s program investments, its Ready.Set.READ! initiative and its community partnerships
- Schedule meetings and events, working with staff, volunteers and community partners
- Assist with information and referral requests
- Utilize technology tools to set up surveys and support the department’s use of organizational databases
- Support meetings, track documentation and prepare summaries of grants
We are looking for an individual possessing:
- High school diploma with at least four years of related experience, OR Associate degree in education or related field, preferred
- At least two years of experience working with youth or in the areas of early learning, education or working with community organizations
- Valid Driver’s License, state mandated automobile insurance and access to reliable transportation required
