Donor Engagement Manager

UWBB is seeking a full-time Donor Engagement Manager who will manage a portfolio of campaign accounts and work with the Philanthropy Team to meet the fundraising goals necessary to support the organization’s mission. Our Donor Engagement Manager helps UWBB build lasting donor relationships and is excited by challenges and working in a fast-paced environment. This position also requires attention to detail in the planning and execution of successful workplace campaigns and engagement strategies. The Donor Engagement Manager serves as a public representative of the organization.

United Way of the Big Bend (UWBB) serves eight counties in the Big Bend with the mission to raise awareness, mobilize resources and find collaborative, targeted solutions for our community’s most vital concerns. We lead the communities we serve by engaging and connecting with others who share our commitment to helping our neighbors, friends, and colleagues who are living in poverty or struggling to make ends meet.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure campaign fundraising goals are achieved
• Foster positive relationships with UWBB corporate partners throughout the year
• Work with Employee Campaign Coordinators to plan and execute successful workplace campaigns, as well as year-round engagement strategies
• Help identify and pursue new opportunities for revenue growth
• Manage, monitor, and report on the progress and results for all managed accounts
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the database for managed accounts
• Effectively communicate UWBB’s community impact ROI messaging to current and prospective donors

• Have strong communication skills
• Enjoy making presentations to groups large and small
• Have excellent customer service skills when interacting with donors and volunteers
• Work well both independently and as a member of team

Education, Experience, and Key Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Fundraising or sales experience a plus
• Strong communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment
• Access to reliable transportation, proof of insurance, and a valid Driver’s License required

• Professional office setting

• Some early morning, evening or weekend hours during peak times
• Occasional travel within UWBB neighboring county footprint
