Summary
The Inside Sales Associate is responsible for driving new business revenue through the sale of UWI IBD Brands, services, and content within assigned accounts. The position will be responsible for learning, supporting, and executing all aspects of the sales process by working alongside the sales teams and providing support in multiple aspects of the sale process within the bicycle specialty retail channel. The position will provide support for our sales team, independent reps and dealers to ensure that doing business with United Wheels is simple and hassle free. In addition, position will also work with the technical and warranty team to assist in processing these requests when needed.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
BUILD AND MAINTAIN RELATIONSHIPS
- Develop and nurture relationships with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
- Work with Sales Manager and General Manager to develop and execute detailed strategic sales plans to demonstrate how to grow business within assigned accounts or territory.
- Build strong relationship with the Sales organization to keep them informed and updates on customer communications and pricing or promotional changes.
- Collaborates with other IBD sales team members to secure new business; Provide input in conjunction with marketing plans and programs to maximize goals.
- Customer service contact for dealers via all available communication channels and on a face-to-face basis to support the Batch Bicycles brand.
- Customer Service contact for assigned regions outside sales team members and Regional Sales Manager.
SALES PIPELINE MANAGEMENT
- Manage order placement and be involved in the entire ordering process including, order entry, warehouse communication, tracking of open orders, and managing inventory to ensure fulfillment obligation.
- Provide input on sales strategies and promotions based on experience and current market climate.
- Ability to identify and communicate effectively with key contacts internally and externally.
- Management of the online B2B system to include maintenance of orders and customers accounts.
- Maintain Customer lists to ensure address and contact information is consistently up to date.
- Provide sales progress, sales metrics, data and for internal reporting and scheduled sales meetings.
PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of United Wheels products and services to effectively communicate features, benefits, and value propositions to customers.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activity to better identify opportunities for business growth and innovation.
COLLABORATION
- Collaborate with cross functional teams including marketing, customer service, rider support and product development to support sales initiatives and address customer needs.

Education and/or Experience
A passion for Cycling and the Outdoors!
One to two years’ professional work experience (internship work accepted). Must possess friendly and courteous customer service skills; excellent communication skills (verbal and written); good grammar, voice and diction, ability to work in a fast pace environment that requires quick decisions to be made; and, in-depth product knowledge. Ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions and manuals.
Individual must possess a passion for cycling, outdoor recreation, and the outdoor/bicycle industry and a desire to learn from the ground up.
This position may require 5 to 10% of domestic travel.

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Computer Skills
Microsoft Office with strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills required. J.D. Edwards and PayPal preferred.
