As a Pharmacy Technician, you’ll be responsible for answering incoming calls/completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximizing productivity in addition to having the opportunity to be involved in compounding medications. This is an on-site position at our Huntsville, AL facility.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for compounding sterile products in a USP797 environment
• Document tasks related to sterile compounding and in compliance with USP797
• Enter prescriptions and verify appropriate information
  Contact patients, pharmacists and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
  Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
• Resolve customer issues while ensuring accurate information is provided
• Administrative tasks including lab tracking, tracking Medicare documents, and scanning/prepping documents

This role is equally challenging and rewarding. As a team member, you’ll help identify problems and determine solutions both independently or in a team/group setting. You’ll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It’s a fast paced, high volume environment where accuracy is essential.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma, GED or higher
• Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Alabama
• Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application
• Full COVID-19 vaccination is an essential job function of this role. Candidates located in states that mandate COVID-19 booster doses must also comply with those state requirements. Preferred Qualifications:

• National Pharmacy Technician certification
• Prior pharmacy/prescription data entry experience 
• Previous experience with claims adjudication
• Previous experience with customer service
• 1 years of pharmacy related experience (includes retail pharmacy experience)
