The Position
The Distance Education team at Unity College is growing! We are looking for applicants to join our team recruiting and guiding prospective and incoming students on the distance education course offerings. Unity College offers benefits and a relocation package! Join the team on Unity College’s Pineland Campus in New Gloucester, Maine.
A revenue generating position focused on recruiting a population of students interested in online undergraduate and graduate programs or other Distance Education offerings. Responsible for all aspects of the admissions recruitment cycle communicating with prospective students and business partners to aid in recruitment. Maintains accurate records and works proactively with all stages of student recruitment from prospect identification through matriculation. Supports Distance Education Advisors as needed.
- Meet or exceed recruitment goals, which are set annually.
- Build and maintain necessary relationships with prospective students and other influencers.
- Review student applications for admission decisions for designated online programs based on agreed upon parameters.
- Prepare and deliver effective recruitment presentations at colleges, fairs, and conferences as needed.
- Counsel and guide students through each stage of the admissions process.
- Make phone calls, send emails, traditional mail, and be comfortable using effective technology as part of the recruitment process.
- Become knowledgeable and articulate about Unity College Distance Education, its programs, market niche, strategies and procedures.
- Understand how to work with non-traditional and adult learners.
- Work with Distance Education staff and leaders to develop strategies for effective recruitment and research marketing opportunities.
- Full life cycle management of a pool of applicants: proactive and holistic student contact and conversion throughout the inquiry, application.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in related field.
- Excellent initiative and organizational skills with ability to work both autonomously and in a team.
- Great time management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with strong interpersonal skills.
- Ability and willingness to work with students from diverse political/socioeconomic backgrounds and a wide range of physical and academic abilities.
- Good skills in word processing, spreadsheets and computerized database systems.
- Personal commitment to the environmental focus and mission of the college.
- Experience in college admissions recruiting or sales; ideally experience in recruiting online students is preferred.
The Location
Unity College has its Hybrid Learning campus in Unity, Maine. As our distance education team rapidly grows, we have also acquired space at Pineland Farms in New Gloucester, Maine where our enterprise and distance education teams will be located. This position will be located at 49 Farm View Drive, New Gloucester, Maine.
