Responsibilities

Must possess solid customer service skills or have relevant counseling training/experience.

Have and/or gain knowledge of barriers to employment faced by individuals with disabilities, how to accommodate for those barriers, and how to advise/educate an employer.

Must be able to assist with resume development, interview preparation, identify appropriate employment opportunities, and actively engage with employers.

Have effective organizational and time management skills.

Ability to be patient and show empathy, advocate for others, make decisions, problem solve, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to attend activities both on and off-site, as well as outside of core working hours.

Promote a culture of inclusion and belonging.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field and related experience working with individuals with disability is preferred. An Associate’s Degree in a relevant field and related work experience will be considered. Must be able to pass the Justice Center background check. Must have reliable transportation, valid NYS driver’s license.
