- Responsible for timely and accurate prepping, scanning and indexing all paper records and loose documents while maintaining scanners and other office equipment. Ability to access and retrieve patient information from various computer systems and media.
- Responsible for phone coverage, general office duties. Fulfill continuation care requests. Adheres to customer service standards.
- Modifies work schedule to meet department goals/deadlines. Maintains work area in neat, orderly fashion. Observe hospital/department guidelines concerning dress, display of name badge, presents a professional appearance appropriate to the work environment.
- Readily identifies work that needs to be performed and completes without needing to be told. Willingness to assist other team members with their duties as time permits or need arises. Other duties as assigned (duties may be added, deleted, or changed at any time.)
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School diploma, GED, or post-secondary degree
- Keyboarding skills. Exhibits excellent oral communication skills and the ability to interact with customers and team members with diverse education, lifestyle and back grounds in accordance to the affiliates mission and values
Preferred:
- Medical terminology preferred.
- One to three years of experience with an electronic health record or hospital/medical setting
- Experience with MS office preferred
