The St. Luke’s Behavioral Hospitalist team consists of a team of Physicians and ARNPs, that are providing full inpatient care to the Adult Geriatric, Adult and Child adolescent units.
- PRN/Moonlighting Weekends; Prefer availability minimum one weekend per month
- Fully integrated system with clinics and hospitals on EPIC EMR to improve care coordination
Responsibilities
- PRN/Moonlighting Weekends only; Onsite rounds and off-site call coverage
- Weekend admissions, discharges, daily hospital care of patients, emergency room visits, and consultations as requested.
- Available to provide medical services upon referral from other physicians or through assignment of patients presenting in the Emergency Department who have no physician.
- Responsible for medical services for all patients in the Behavioral Health Hospitalist Program
Qualifications
- MD or DO
- Board Eligible or Board Certified in Psychiatry
- Ability to obtain and hold an unrestricted license to practice in the state of Iowa
- Hold current and unrestricted state and federal authority to prescribe and administer medications as necessary or appropriate to the physician’s field of practice
