Responsibilities:
Reporting to and supervised by the Executive Director Clinical Diagnostic Services. The primary purpose of the Assistant Manager Business Services is to be responsible and monitor the department’s budget processes daily. Oversees adjustments in inventory based on the needs of the department. Reconciles expenditures, generates PO’s, and works closely with Finance (Purchasing, Accounts Payable and Budget) department to ensure timely, cost-effective procurement of supplies while assuring cost effectiveness. Produces standard and custom reports as directed by using Banner, e-print, inventory management systems, EPIC and other software programs as assigned. Processes all Human Resource related documentation (for example EPAF, SPTF), drafting cover letters and others as assigned. Oversees several non-clinical personnel. Assures compliance with financial, quality, UH compliance, UH Policies & Procedures, and leads team towards achievement of organizational and regulatory goals. Ability to deliver assignments under pressure and seeks to improve efficiencies in a matrix organization with diverse stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Administration, Healthcare, or a related field required, plus one (1) year of progressively more responsible administrative support experience required, preferably in a health care environment or large business office. Experience should include procurement and purchasing responsibilities. Experience coordinating activities in a Radiology department preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills interacting with audiences of varied healthcare literacy. Proficient in all aspects of Microsoft Office and other business software. Ability to communicate, prioritize and coordinate physician/patient/interdepartmental activities. Knowledge of Radiology terminology is preferred. Bilingual skills (Spanish) a plus. Additional related experience and/or training may be substituted for the degree on a year-for-year basis.
