Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Audiology Technician position is to provide newborn screening and follow-up services including but not limited to hearing screening and patient data management activities under the direction of the Lead Clinical/Senior Clinical Audiologist. Provides general office assistance including answering the telephone, scheduling patients, completing reports, gathering statistical data, using the electronic medical records system, filing, copying, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED Certificate required. Certified as a Medical Assistant or Patient Care Technician by National Healthcareer Association (NHA), National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or equivalent required. Minimum of one (1) year of patient care experience in a health care setting dealing deaf or hard of hearing persons preferred. Minimum of two-three (2-3) years of clinical experience performing newborn screening preferred. Must be CPR certified or complete certification within six (6) months of employment. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position. Must be computer proficient. Bilingual (Spanish, Portuguese, or French) preferred.
Salary : $21 - $22
