Responsibilities
The primary purpose of the Echocardiography Technologist position is to provide high-level confidential direct patient care by performing non-invasive echocardiography studies on in-patients and out-patients (older adolescent to end life), maintain equipment, arrange services and assure appropriate documentation and continuous quality improvement based on age and development status. Measurement criteria is “as observed by the Chief Echo Technologist” unless otherwise indicated.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound School or Echocardiography Technology program plus at least one (1) year of experience in a hospital setting is required. One (1) year of cardiac ultrasound, ECG, stress echo and T.E.E. experience required. Must be registered in adult echocardiography.
