Responsibilities
What You’ll Do
- Serve as a key contributor to patient satisfaction at University Hospital.
- Facilitate clear, compassionate communication between patients, families/significant others, and hospital staff.
- Act as a liaison to ensure patients and their loved ones feel heard, supported, and well-informed throughout their care.
- Proactively identify and address concerns to prevent complaints and formal grievances.
- Collaborate with hospital departments to advise on best practices for enhancing the patient experience.
- Support resolution of patient dissatisfaction through effective communication and problem-solving strategies.
Qualifications
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in behavioral or social sciences.
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a customer service or healthcare-related field with direct patient contact.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service abilities, including conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques.
- Proven experience in triaging and addressing patient, family, or customer concerns promptly and efficiently.
- Equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training may be considered in place of formal degree requirements.
Compensation
The expected hourly rate for this position is XH/99H:$30.25 per hour, in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Law; final compensation will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
