Responsibilities

The primary purpose of the Quality Improvement Specialist position is to assist in the development and implementation of the University Hospital Quality Improvement Program.

Qualifications

BSN Registered Nurse with a license to practice in the State of New Jersey required. Four (4) years of experience in Quality Improvement in an acute care hospital setting required. Candidates without the nursing degree who have an advanced degree in a health care related field, or Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration with three (3) years of experience in an acute care hospital, plus an additional four (4) years of experience related to quality improvement will be considered. Must have experience with chart review and data abstraction. Computer literacy and data entry management experience required, along with strong analytical skills. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and possesses strong communication skills.
