Job Description:
The Distribution Specialist transports and distributes office and medical supplies to various locations within EPCHD. Duties also include shelf stocking, supply room maintenance, and inventory tracking.
Required Skills:
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English.
- Possess knowledge of the overall warehousing plan and accepted warehousing methods, procedures and techniques.
- Knowledge of automated or computerized system operation.
- Knowledge of record keeping practices.
- Knowledge of safety practices.
- Skill in lifting heavy packages and object
- Skill in operating forklift or other materials handling equipment.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to operate a 20 ft. cargo truck and cargo van.
- Strong Customer Service skills and orientation.
- Must know the heights, widths and weights at which items may be stacked on pallets and in bin and bulk locations to prevent tipping, crushing or other damage.
- Must be knowledgeable of the special handling, control and storage of toxic chemicals, precious metals and controlled substances. Must be able to read and interpret standard operating procedures, regulations and guides that concern these items.
Required Experience:
Work Experience:
One year of experience in supply distribution, and/or inventory shipping, and receiving required; preferably in a hospital setting.

None
Education and Training:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Class C Texas Driver’s license.
