G eneral Responsibilities
- To be responsible for the overall operation of the lab.
- To oversee projects within the lab.
- To contribute to the design, interpretation and writing of grant proposals and publications.
- To supervise a research team, direct and teach lab practices.
- To manage lab equipment and supplies.
- To work independently and with other lab members to perform projects and achieve goals of the laboratory.
- To contribute significantly to the planning/design of studies and report outcomes.
- To help develop long or short-term goals.
- Performs projects within the laboratory and assumes project-related responsibilities for day to-day operation of lab activities.
- Collects, enters, summarizes, analyzes, performs statistical analysis, and interprets data.
- Monitors results, detects, and reports unusual outcomes, develops modifications,
- Troubleshoots and provides data to management.
- Generates figures to summarize data and present results.
- With direction, contributes to IACUC and grant proposals and assists in the preparation and editing of applications.
- Helps with colony maintenance and monitoring of experimental studies using mouse models.
- Performs other duties as assigned .
- Doctorate in a related field and one (1) year of related experience
- OR Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience
- OR Bachelor’s degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience
