Summary of Job Duties:The Instructor in Management is responsible for teaching required courses in the Management program, providing service to the department, school, and university as well as outreach and service to the business community. This position is governed by state and federal laws as well as agency and institution policy.Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate degree in Management or related Business field (MBA from an AACSB accredited institution);
  • Appropriate professional designation(s);
  • Significant professional experience supporting teaching assignments.

Preferred Education and/or Experience

  • Teaching experience is desirable.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Teach required courses per semester (fall and spring), of which 2 to 3 may differ, and 1 or 2 will support the Entrepreneurship program; classes occur in the mornings, at night (1 night/week), and/or online. During the summers (subject to funding, department's needs, and availability), all full-time faculty members, including Instructors, may teach an additional two courses for 15% of their 9-month salary over a 5-week period of time;
  • Serve on University, College, and Department committees;
  • Engage with the regional business community;
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
