Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Senior Superintendent of Plant, the electrician repairs, maintains and installs electrical systems and equipment, including but not limited to, the electric distribution system, alarm systems, electric control systems, building wiring, lighting, emergency generators and electric motors.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Understanding of regulatory controls and requirements of NEC, NFPA, AQMD, OSHA, and JCAHO standards

Position is subject to the California DMV's "Pull Notice System" and continued employment is contingent upon proof of a satisfactory driving record.

Must work overtime or alternate shifts as required to meet hospital needs

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Demonstrated strong conflict resolution skills

Demonstrated organization and prioritization skills

Current State of California Driver's License

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, shop drawings and manufacturers technical manuals

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Preferred Qualifications:

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
