Position Summary:
The UC Irvine Student Health Center is a comprehensive outpatient clinic staffed with licensed primary care physicians, psychiatrists, licensed clinical social workers, dentists, physician assistants, registered nurse practitioners, and registered nurses. Medical specialists from various disciplines, including dermatology, orthopedics/sports medicine, gynecology, internal medicine, and ENT provide on-site consultation on a regular basis. Student Health also offers basic radiology and clinical laboratory services, insurance consultation, and an on-site pharmacy, making SHC a comprehensive and convenient clinic dedicated to serving students.
Under the General Supervision of the Manager of Facilities and Administrative Operations, the Facilities Coordinator uses professional concepts to apply organization policies and procedures to oversee a variety of ongoing Facilities issues. Administers defined Facilities program. Analyzes and resolves operational problems of moderate scope.

$30.44 - $38.13 (Hourly Rate) Expected Pay Range within the Full Salary Range $30.44 - $48.86 (Hourly Rate)


Required:
One (1) year of supervisory experience preferred
Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training.
Valid California's Driver's License
Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns. Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing. Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality. Valid California driver's license. Knowledge of facilities management principles and practice. Experience working as part of a team and providing excellent customer service.


Preferred:
Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs. Knowledge of emergency protocols, processes, and procedures. Knowledge of UC purchasing and accounting practices. General experience completing minor maintenance repairs. Experience managing facilities projects. Experience working in a health care facility.


Special Conditions Required:
This position's schedule is M-F and during traditional work hours, however, weekends or non-traditional work hours may be required for special projects or busy times of the year, or when strict deadlines must be met. In the case of extended hours, this position may be required to work those hours. Employment in this position is contingent upon the successful completion of a Department of Justice (DOJ) Live Scan background check, verification and continued monitoring of licensure as it applies to the position, and successful completion of our background review or credentialing process, as appropriate to the position. The employee must comply with OSHA, CA/OSHA, and CDC recommendations and requirements regarding vaccination and testing of healthcare employees. This includes, but may not be limited to; current hepatitis B immunizations, annual flu vaccinations, and annual tuberculosis screening. At the discretion of the Student Health Center, the employee may be offered an option to sign a declination acknowledgment in lieu of receiving an annual flu vaccination. Per the UC Ethics Briefing, the employee is responsible for reporting any and all potential conflicts of interest to their supervisor in a timely manner. The California Vehicle and Public Utility Codes require the University to participate in the Department of Motor Vehicle's Employer Pull Notice (EPN) program. This program provides employers with information about employee convictions of traffic violations and any action the DMV takes against driver's licenses and special certificates. Information received through the EPN program may be used as a basis for disciplinary actions, up to and including dismissal. As this position is covered under the EPN program, the employee will be responsible for maintaining and keeping in good standing, this includes the employee's driver's license and any driver certificate or permit needed for this position. The employee will also be responsible for immediately notifying their department manager whenever convicted of a motor vehicle violation or have action taken against the employee's driver's license, permit, or certificate.
