Toprovide nursing care to patients and their families in the MPU. Under directsupervision, the primary responsibilities of the Clinical Nurse II includes thedirect nursing care of patients, utilizing the nursing process; the developmentand application of leadership, management, and communication concepts, teachingof patients and staff; maintenance of professional standards; ability to assumethe charge nurse role for the unit in the stead and/or absence ofadministrative staff. Participate with health team members for problem solvingin area management. Assist in the development and implementation of standards,methods and tools to improve patient care. Candidate must be able to function witha minimum of supervision and be highly motivated to provide excellent care andpatient advocacy. Incumbent will assist with GI/Pulmonary procedures as well asadminister conscious sedation.
Salary range: $56.63-$84.19 Hourly
We're seekinga highly-skilled, self-motivated nursing professional with:
- Current California RN licenserequired
- BSN or MSNrequired
- BLS from the American Red Cross or American Heart Associationrequired
- 2 years of Nursing experience required.
- Three years of related experience in a hospital or outpatient setting with GI/Endoscopy procedures preferred.
- Skill in implementing appropriate nursing interventions on a consistentbasis
- Ability to perform historical, physical and behavioral patientassessments
- Ability to develop and implement and evaluate patient care plan activelyinvolving patients, family, and staff
- Official Transcripts and/or original diploma from a registered nursing programmust be provided upon hire
