The Assistant Director for the UCR College Corps Program plays a vital leadership role in advancing the University’s commitment to student success, civic engagement, and community impact. Reporting to the College Corps Director, the Assistant Director supports the daily operations and long-term development of a statewide service-learning initiative that places undergraduate Fellows in community-based roles across the focus areas of Education, Food Insecurity, and Climate Action. This position manages a portfolio of Fellows and site partnerships, ensuring all aspects of recruitment, onboarding, training, compliance, and supervision are carried out with excellence. The Assistant Director coordinates targeted outreach campaigns, facilitates orientations and professional development sessions, and serves as a primary liaison to community partners. Through site visits, ongoing communication, and compliance monitoring, the Assistant Director ensures placement sites meet program standards and Fellows receive the support necessary to achieve their service and academic goals. Overall, this position is central to ensuring the success of the UCR College Corps program. By managing operations, strengthening partnerships, and supporting Fellows, the Assistant Director helps UCR deliver on its mission of preparing students for future careers while addressing pressing community challenges. The full salary range for Assistant Director for the UCR College Corps Program is $53,100 - $89,700 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $62,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs. Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff. As a University employee, you will be required to comply with all applicable University policies and/or collective bargaining agreements, as may be amended from time to time. Federal, state, or local government directives may impose additional requirements.

Thorough skills to conduct needs assessment and development of new presentations/courses to meet organizational needs. Thorough knowledge of current community educational programs and trends. Thorough knowledge of organization policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of and skill in delivering programs. Thorough knowledge of functional area and understanding of how work may impact other areas. Skill in using business software systems in the completion of work assignments; i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint. Knowledge of managing a portfolio of business and management courses at the university level. Thorough analytical skills to conduct analysis and develop recommendations, demonstrating organization and problem-solving skills.
