POSITION DESCRIPTION
The Department of Theater and Dance at University of California, Santa Barbara invites applications for a lecturer or lecturers to teach courses in Modern and American Theater during the 2024-2025 Academic Year. Courses include undergraduate courses (“American Drama - to 1940,” “American Drama - 1940 to Present,” “Modern Theater),” and a graduate seminar on “Theater and Drama of the US.”
Work will be in person on the UCSB campus; reimbursement for travel and housing expenses will not be provided. Salary is based on UC’s salary scales and depends on qualifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have completed all requirements for a Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies or related field, except the dissertation, at the time of application.
A Ph.D. in Theater and Performance Studies or related field is required by the time of appointment.
Teaching experience at the college or university level.
