The The Department of Literature at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers. The department offers courses in a broad range of areas including, but not limited to the following genres:
- English-language literatures, including American and British literatures
- French and Francophone literatures (in French and in translation)
- German literature (in German and in translation)
- Greek and Latin literatures (in original and in translation)
- Italian literature (in Italian and in translation)
- Russian literature (in translation)
- Comparative literature
- Digital humanities
- Indigenous literatures
- Non-western literatures
- Postcolonial literature
- Visual, performative, sonic, filmic, and other media
Applicants with a record of teaching excellence are strongly encouraged to apply.
