Position Summary
The person in this position will work on weekends and evenings supervising the operations of the extended hours at the McNichols Campus Library.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
(1) Supervise student assistants, oversee circulation services, and troubleshoot basic computer and printer issues.
(2) Work with student assistants and Public Safety to ensure service, safety, and security during the evening hours.
(3) Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED and six months to two years of experience.
- Evenings absolutely required – must be dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience preferred
- Library experience preferred
- College coursework preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collegially with all coworkers
- Comfort with ambiguity
Physical Requirements
Job requires repetitively lifting light weight objects where frequent bending or stooping alternates with lighter activities.
Work Environment
Regular exposure to favorable conditions such as those found in a normal office.
Salary/Pay Information
Minimum - $13.20/Hour
Anticipated Schedule
Variable up to 29 hours per week. Hours will intensify just before and during exams. Schedule may change on a semester-to-semester basis.
