Job Description:
The accountant will report to Finance Manager and take care of day-to-day bookkeeping duties.
Hours: 20 ~ 30 hours a week. Need to work on Saturday.
Work Location: 595 Lawrence Expressway, Sunnyvale, CA 94085
Minimum Requirements:
1. Good English listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills
2. Effective customer service and organizational skills
3. Accountant qualifications and skills
4. Expertise with QuickBooks and advanced computer skills in MS Office
5. One year of accounting experience
Preferred Requirements:
1. Fluency in Mandarin Chinese
2. Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Accounting or Finance
3. At least five years of professional experience

Detailed Job Functions:
1. Post student/customer payments by recording cash, checks, and credit card transactions.
2. Post revenues by verifying and entering transactions into QuickBooks.
3. Update receivables by reviewing unpaid invoices.
4. Assist in accounting activities including reconciliations of bank and credit card accounts, coordination, and completion of annual audits.
5. Assemble data for reports and for external audits.
6. Reconcile and keep appropriate receivable records, including student statements to meet accreditor standards.
7. Address students, staff, and faculty financial questions and provide high-quality customer service.
8. Follow standard processes for financial transactions and adheres to policies and regulations.
9. Demonstrate ethical decision-making.
10. Protect the organization's value by keeping information confidential.
11. Updates job knowledge by participating in training.
12. Accomplish accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
