Security Guard I

- Perform duties required by CVM Security Policy and Procedures and as outlined for the OPS Security Officer that include response to fire alarms, assist UPD, EMS and GFR. Facility lock and unlock, customer service to stakeholders, complete daily logs and incident/injury reports, safety patrol, enforce restricted access and visitor parking.

- Receive, process and assign requests for Academic Visitor Parking and LOCUM Parking. Grant access to contractors and assist them to the location of their responsibilities.

- Receive and process requests for door lock and unlocks using the Lenel Computer system. Primary responsibility for Gator1 card printing, issuing, and obtaining proper permissions and ChartFields. Prioritize and organize response to requests for service. Produce and distribute the daily Pharmacy Door Report to the Pharmacy Director and the Security Supervisor.

- Assist in the training for new employees and other duties as directed by the Security Supervisor.

The hours for this position would include weekends 8am to 4pm, and weekdays 4-midnight.

$15.00 - $16.00 an hour

High school diploma or equivalent.

-Florida Driver’s license
-1year experience in security role.
-Proficiency on in Word, Excel and advanced computer programs.
-Excellent communication skills in the area of customer service.
-Experience in production and printing of ID cards.
-Ability to concurrently work with multiple computer programs
-Extensive experience in customer service and credit card transactions.
-Experience in mitigating verbally abusive, and combative situations.
-Experience in emergency management
