Position Summary
This position reports to the Dean for the College of Public Health (CPH) and is is responsible for raising annual fund support, providing alumni relations activities, stewarding donors, and executing all development-related events to enable the College of Public Health to fulfill its mission. This is accomplished by the Development Coordinator working closely with the dean of the college and University Development to develop and implement annual fundraising initiatives and alumni programs. This position plays an integral role in growing the major gift pipeline for CPH and will be heavily involved with outreach and making face-to-face meetings with alumni and prospects to grow vital annual fund support. This position will work collaboratively with all areas of the college as well as a wide variety of constituents. The Development Coordinator will be one who can lead a philanthropic effort that supports the service and research-oriented vision and mission of the College.

Engage in outreach to annual giving donors (current and prospects), building and strengthening relationships and creating a donor pipeline leading to leadership and major gifts for the College of Public Health. Working in collaboration with the Dean of the College of Public Health, build and manage a portfolio of leadership annual giving and major giving prospects. Work collaboratively with University Development to maximize cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of prospects. Conduct regular face-to face meetings with donors and prospects and help prepare meeting and proposal materials for the Director or others. Work collaboratively with offices in the Development and Alumni Relations Division including financial services, gift accounting, and development colleagues across campus. Manage and oversee donor stewardship and recognition processes including coordination with the Donor Relations & Stewardship Office. Coordinate with University Development's annual giving office to create and implement an annual fund solicitation plan for CPH. (direct mail, electronic, and phone)

Duties/Responsibilities
In collaboration with the Dean and the Senior Director of Development for Constituent Programs, submit and annual and long-term fundraising plan for meeting the fundraising priorities for CPH.

Coordinate and implement an Alumni Board and its outreach and activities.
Plan and execute any alumni or donor related special events.
Be the liaison to the UGA Alumni Association and coordinate activities to elevate engagement for CPH alumni.

Work with DAR Donor Relations and Stewardship to provide a comprehensive stewardship program for College of Public Health donors.

Serve as the liaison between CPH and University Development ensuring all UGA policies and procedures are followed by the unit. Attend division and development staff meetings, monthly strategy meetings with the Senior Director of Development for Constituent Based Programs and Alumni and Development meetings at the College of Public Health. Serve as point of contact with Development colleagues and/or administration to host donors and prospects from other units. Work collaboratively and strategically with all division colleagues, and other development associates located in schools, colleges, and units across campus. Complete telephone/correspondence/preparation/follow-up; record visits, interactions, and plans in the giving and alumni database (GAIL) in a thorough and timely manner.
